Kutoka surroundings are rich in birdlife. There is more than 20 resident species of birds in the likes of coucal, weavers, swifts, bulbuls, pratincole, go-away birds etc. Other migrating species spotted includes, African Hoopoes, Barbet, Hammer kops, Pin-tailed wydah, Lilac, Black headed heron etc.
